By joining the Pet Blood Bank UK,
the UK's only charity canine blood collection service, you can
really make a difference to owners and their pets.
Our Animal Care Assistants are responsible for welcoming owners
and their dogs to the session, holding our donors whilst giving
blood, running blood tests and assisting with paperwork and
ultimately make sure the donors have an enjoyable time.
This role is ideal for anyone looking to work with dogs, as you
will benefit from a wealth of experience working with and handling
dogs in a clinical environment. You will also be provided with
transferrable skills to work in any veterinary or animal
environment in the future.
You will have excellent communication & customer care skills
and be a good team player. Experience of animal care, with strong
organisational skills and a love for working with animals is
essential. You must have a full UK driving license.
You will work an average of 11 sessions per month and the working
days would be a mix of weekdays and weekends. You would also be
required to participate in the on-call rota to support dispatching
of blood products at nights and weekends
As you will be driving the PBB car, for insurance purposes, we
require applicants to be over the age of 21. Due to the on call
requirements of the role, we can only accept applications from
candidates who live within 30 minutes of Loughborough.
