If you need a blood product urgently there are a few ways we can help. First of all establish what product you require using our guide on how to use blood products.
Once you have established what you need you have two options:
We offer a 24 hour delivery service where the blood product can in most cases, be dispatched within one hour of order confirmation (daytime) and within one to two hours (nights and weekends).
Product is delivered by courier and the time it takes depends on how far your practice is from our base in Loughborough.
Please call us on 01509 232 222 and an answering machine message will direct you to our Out of Hours service.
If your need is more urgent and you can't wait for a central delivery, it may be possible to 'share' blood from another practice which is closer to you. Many of our customers are willing to allow other local pratices to access their blood products. To locate the nearest one to you please follow this link. You can then call them to confirm they are able to lend you blood and to make collection arrangements.
Please note we do not have UK distribution centres and practices locally sharing, do so at their own convenience. Pet Blood Bank is not responsible for monitoring blood products once they have left our premises and therefore the sharing of blood products is done at your own risk.
