As a charity we need lots of help and support both from the veterinary profession and the dog owners of the UK to ensure that we provide a successful and sustainable service.

There are a number of ways that you can get involved as veterinary professional.  You may have a dog who meets our donor requirements that you’d like to bring along to one of our blood drives.  If you do click here to find out when and where we are holding our next blood drives.

Other ways to support us are:

  • Hold a blood drive at your practice
  • Fundraising

Hold a blood drive

Perhaps you think your practice would be perfect to hold a blood drive.  There are some key criteria your practice requires to meet:

  • You need to be within a 2 hour drive of Loughborough
  • Your practice needs to have at least 2 consulting rooms, a lab to allow basic pre-screening and an ample waiting room
  • Space for post donation refreshments

If you think that you match these and would like to seriously be considered as a Blood Drive location give us a call on 01509 232222 to discuss this further.

Of course there will be some great benefits for your practice too.  When we’re in your area we’ll be promoting the blood drive in the local press and your practice will be credited as a supporter of the charity by providing your facilities to support us, giving you a great profile within your local community.

Help us fundraise

In addition to our lifesaving blood donors we need to raise funds to help support the plans the charity has for the future.

At present we wish to raise £50,000 - £75,000 for a mobile blood processing unit which will allow us to take our blood drives around the UK and let any dog who meets our donor’s criteria become a pet lifesaver.

You can make a donation by downloading our donation form to make a postal donation.  And of course we’d more than delighted if you would like to take up a physical or mental challenge to help raise funds for the charity.

Make sure you check back to our news section for updates on how our mobile blood processing unit appeal is going.
