Vacancy List

The Role

Award-winning animal charity, Pet Blood Bank UK, is recruiting for a part-time Marketing Manager who will report into the Head of Operations and manage a direct report, to define and implement the annual marketing plan. This is an ideal role for a talented Marketing professional looking to bring their skills to a well-established charity, with the benefit of part-time hours.

Background

Pet Blood Bank UK is the only charity of its kind that provides a canine blood bank service, helping to save the lives of many loyal companions across the UK. Similar to the human blood service, donation sessions are held nationwide for large dog owners to bring along their pets to give blood. Now in its 10th year, the charity has over 8,000 canine donors registered and growing at an exponential rate as media attention increases.

Emergency out of hours care provider for pets, Vets Now, helped get the service off the ground back in 2007 and they continue to help PBB by choosing them as their charity of choice. The candidate will be based alongside Pet Blood Bank colleagues at the Vets Now Head Office in Dunfermline, Fife.

The Candidate

With the ability to translate insight into action, the successful applicant will be responsible for building the Pet Blood Bank brand, recruiting more donors, driving penetration amongst professionals and introducing more focused fundraising efforts as part of the charity’s marketing strategy going forward.  Digital marketing will play a key part in this strategy and it’s essential that you are experienced and confident in this area, particularly social media.

You’ll be degree educated with extensive experience in a consumer marketing role, preferably within an agency or charity environment.  As a skilled manager, you should be able to demonstrate your ability to manage people, budgets and a wide range of stakeholders – a love of dogs would be hugely beneficial too!  Some travel is expected to visit some donor sessions, events and PBB office therefore it is essential you hold a clean, full driving licence
