The Role

Award-winning animal charity, Pet Blood Bank UK, is recruiting for a Veterinary and Technical Product Advisor to join the busy and growing team in Loughborough.  Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the role holder will provide technical advice for blood products and consumables, supporting enquiries and orders from Pet Blood Bank veterinary customers.

The Candidate

With a veterinary background and ideally previous knowledge of transfusion medicines, the successful candidate will be responsible for handling customer enquiries for blood products and consumables, and providing technical advice in respect to related queries.  You’ll work closely with PBB’s veterinary advisors to ensure all queries are processed appropriately, and work alongside the Stock & Distribution Team to support orders to dispatch point as per organisational SOPs.  As well as liaising closely with all internal PBB teams, the role holder will also be responsible for identifying areas of product demand and help increase the PBB customer base within the UK.

You’ll likely be a Registered Veterinary Nurse, with excellent telephone and customer care skills. A confident user of all Microsoft Office packages, the successful candidate will also have excellent communications and interpersonal skills, a proactive and enthusiastic approach and an aptitude for team work. Attention to detail is paramount for this role, as is the ability to empathise with the pet owning public.   Some travel is expected and therefore it is essential you hold a clean, full driving licence. You are also required to participate in the On-Call Rota for product supply and distribution.
