Meet our 2018-19 Heart of Pet Blood Bank Award winners

The Bramble Craddock Award Winner: Jack

The Bramble Craddock Award launched in honour of our highest donating dog who sadly passed away. Bramble Craddock was a very special dog, who, like many of our donors, will be forever at the heart of Pet Blood Bank.

Another very special dog is Jack. Not only is Jack a Pet Blood Bank lifesaver, he is also a Pets as Therapy visiting dog, doing fantastic work to help others in his community. He supports Hounds for Heroes by raising awareness and funds, and takes part in agility and flyball as well! He really does prove that life as a tri-paw dog doesn't need to be any different.

A huge thank you to Jack and his owner Cath for all their hard work, passion and commitment to Pet Blood Bank.

Fundraising Award Winner: Tracey and Bailey Humphrey

Tracey and her dog Bailey continuously work extremely hard to raise funds and awareness for Pet Blood Bank through Bailey’s very popular Instagram account. So far, they have raised over £850 and continue to support us with fun and innovative fundraising ideas. We have been blown away by the support we have received from their online community. Not only has this fantastic amount of money been raised, but they have spread huge amounts of awareness and got lots of people talking about the charity and registering their dogs as lifesavers.

Thank you so much Tracey and Bailey. We know how much work goes on behind the scenes of Bailey’s Instagram account and we are so grateful for all you do for us.

Volunteer Award Winner: Sarah Little

The fantastic winner of our Heart of Pet Blood Bank Award for volunteering this year is Sarah Little. Sarah volunteers at our busy Edinburgh session where she really goes the extra mile to make the experience a great one for all our owners. She always has a huge smile on her face and ensures everyone feels valued and well looked after. Nothing is ever too much trouble for Sarah and we really couldn’t imagine our sessions without her. Her passion is infectious and she really is a pleasure to work with.

Host Venue Award Winner: Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists

Pet Blood Bank team presenting award to Lumbry Park nurse

Without the support of our host venues, we wouldn’t be where we are today. From spreading the word about Pet Blood Bank, working hard to fill up every session they host and even running extra sessions when our stocks were running low, Lumbry Park always goes the extra mile. They always do their best to fill up the appointments for every session and spread the word as much as possible. The team here are an absolute pleasure to work with, always so friendly and helpful, and our team always look forward to the sessions. They really do make it a great experience for everyone involved.
