The role
Animal charity Pet Blood Bank UK is recruiting for the position of Customer Service Assistant. Part of our Customer Service team, this role is critical to supporting our veterinary customers to ensure blood get to where it needs to be. You will be responsible for providing efficient and effective support to all customers and accurately processing all orders received.
Background
Launched in 2007, Pet Blood Bank UK is the only charity that provides a blood bank service for all vets across the UK. As part of our charitable remit, our aim is to advance animal health and welfare and to relieve suffering by providing quick and convenient access to blood. Every unit of blood helps save up to four other lives, saving thousands of lives every year.

What you’ll do
- Supporting and communicating with veterinary customers to provide an outstanding service.
- Taking orders for blood products and consumables and dealing with customer queries via telephone, email, and our website ordering system.
- Accurately and efficiently processing customer orders for timely dispatch.
- Signposting customers to further support resources to ensure they get the help they need for their transfusion cases.
- Working with your line manager to build and support customer engagement and promote new and existing products and services to customers.
- Working with external suppliers and couriers to coordinate deliveries.
