RVN | North East Regional Coordinator, Veterinary Nurse and Phlebotomist

Amy has worked in a large small animal hospital in Newcastle since 2013. She qualified as an RVN in 2015 and has completed her NCert(SurgNsg). She is now a Senior RVN and loves all aspects of her role. Working in a hospital environment with critical patients, Amy can see first-hand how important blood is and how vital it is to save another dog’s life. Amy joined Pet Blood Bank in 2021 as a Phlebotomist and is now the Regional Coordinator for the North East team.

What Amy loves most about working for Pet Blood Bank:

'I absolutely love working for this amazing charity. Seeing the amazing donors come in so excited to see us, do their donation, and leave with a full tummy of treats, new toys and lots of kisses and cuddles from the team makes it all so rewarding. As I work in a large small animal hospital where we use blood regularly, I know first-hand how important it is to have blood available.'

Outside of work, Amy spends most of her time with her partner Daniel and daughter Ellie. They have two dogs, two guinea pigs and three horses. Being outside with the horses or dogs is where they like to spend days off as Ellie is very passionate about animals like her mum.
