Winner: Bailey
Bailey has been a loyal and dedicated blood donor for the past eight years. He donated an incredible 38 times before retiring earlier this year – helping to save the lives of up to 152 other dogs. This is a truly remarkable achievement and one that very few dogs reach!
Bailey was a familiar and much-loved face at our Edinburgh donation sessions. He became well known for his love of gravy bones and his determined attempts to hop onto the donation table.
Together, Bailey and his owner Becky have gone above and beyond as ambassadors for Pet Blood Bank, spreading the word within their local community and attending events with Pet Blood Bank. Becky has also fundraised for our charity through her small business, with Bailey proudly modelling many of the products.

Runner-up: Stella
Stella started off life on the path to become a guide dog but was unable to complete her course due to disruptions during the COVID-19 pandemic. After her owner Nicola saw a newspaper article appealing for blood donors, Stella began her second calling in life, helping to make a difference in a different but just as meaningful way! Stella has donated an incredible 26 times, helping to save the lives of up to 104 other dogs – a truly amazing achievement. She has made a huge impact by raising awareness through press coverage and on her Instagram account dedicated to her blood donation journey.

The Real Award
Winner: Zara Baker
Zara has gone above and beyond to champion our work, both within her practice and in her own time. She played a key role in establishing Arun Veterinary Group as a host venue, and thanks to her determination and drive, we’ve welcomed many new donors into our community.
Zara has made a huge impact on our community through her consistent care for donors and their owners, always creating a calm, reassuring environment that encourages repeat donors and helps save more pets’ lives. She is a dependable and supportive team member, making sure that donation sessions run smoothly for colleagues, pets, and owners alike.

Runner-up: Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists
The team at Anderson Moores go above and beyond to ensure donation sessions are successful, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both donors and the Pet Blood Bank team. From including our leaflets in medication bags to promoting us through email communications and connecting with local dog businesses, Anderson Moores are always thinking of meaningful ways to spread the word.
Their dedication is reflected in their outstanding success within our host venue recognition scheme, leading the way and reaching over 40 donor registrations so far – a fantastic achievement.

The Pioneering Award
Winner: Pam Tait
Since the very early days of Pet Blood Bank, Pam has been a constant presence, attending donation sessions time and time again with her wonderful dogs, who between them have made an incredible 46 donations (and counting!), helping to save the lives of up to 184 other dogs.
Pam is a dedicated advocate, promoting Pet Blood Bank at every opportunity, from social media and dog shows to national television appearances. Her efforts have inspired many new donors to join, helping us reach even more dogs in need.

Runner-up: Amy Keirl
Amy and her dog Salem have taken awareness of Pet Blood Bank to one of the biggest stages in the dog world: the green carpet at Crufts. By using agility as a platform to promote blood donation they have introduced our work to new audiences in an inspiring way.
 
The Caring Award
Winner: Ashleigh Daniels (ARC. Dogwear)
Ashleigh has made a truly meaningful impact on the Pet Blood Bank community and beyond. After experiencing first-hand the challenges of serious illness with her own dog, she turned that experience into something positive by creating her business; ARC Dogwear.
Ashleigh has consistently put supporting animal welfare charities at the forefront. In just a short time, she has raised vital funds to help towards saving the lives of pets across the country, and introduced many new audiences to our work through social media and fundraising initiatives.

Runner-up: Wendy and Stephen Blake
Wendy and Steve are two of our longest standing volunteers, always going above and beyond to support Pet Blood Bank. Their kindness and genuine care make a real difference to our charity. They are always proudly promoting Pet Blood Bank – even their dogs who have contributed an incredible 26 donations between them!
