RVN | South West Regional Coordinator, Veterinary Nurse and Phlebotomist

Sian qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and has worked in both small animal first opinion practice and within the charity/rehoming sector.

She joined Pet Blood Bank in 2020 as a Phlebotomist, when a move to the South West afforded her more family time and a move away from Emergency and Critical Care veterinary nursing. Becoming Regional Coordinator for the South West in 2023 has been a highlight and given her the opportunity to help practices recruit more wonderful donors as well as ensuring sessions run smoothly.

What Sian enjoys most about working for Pet Blood Bank UK

''Seeing happy, healthy dogs come back to sessions time and again is wonderful! Getting to know owners and seeing their pride in their beloved pet is very special. I’m proud of the dogs, the owners and the team who all work together to ensure we have enough blood to help those in need.''

Outside of work, family life and Peanut the Lhasa crossbreed keep Sian busy, as does slowly exploring the South West one day trip at a time!
