In collaboration with the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), this new service is dedicated to providing vets with fast, reliable access to specialist clinical expertise for their transfusion cases.
What this means for vets:
- Vets can contact us at any time, day or night, on our usual number (01509 232 222)
- A clinician from the specialist teams at our RVC partnered advice service will aim to call back within two hours
- Completely free to access
Vets have told us that having 24/7 transfusion support, available at the end of the phone, was what they wanted from us most. We listened, and following a successful pilot, this service is now live.
We know that treating animals with complex medical needs is highly stressful and requires vets to make urgent and challenging decisions. For this reason, being there to support them with transfusion cases is critical not only for the health and welfare of the animals they are treating, but also for themselves as caregivers.
