The Role 

Award winning animal charity Pet Blood Bank is seeking a dedicated Quality Compliance Officer. Under the guidance of our Clinical Director, your primary role will be to oversee the non-conformance process, ensuring strict adherence to organisational policies and procedures while actively investigating any instances of non-conformance. What you’ll do 
  • Coordinate and oversee the non-conformance process under the guidance of the Clinical Director.
  • Ensure timely reporting and recording of all non-conformations and deviations, investigating as necessary and providing supporting documentation.
  • Support risk assessment activities with PBB departments and managers.
  • Provide data analysis and produce reports to contribute to the continuous improvement of the quality system.
  • Support organisational changes through the Change Control Process.
  • Assist in, develop, and maintain internal and external audit processes.
  • Actively participate in the Quality Team to ensure smooth departmental operations and promote high standards of service and continuous improvement.
What we need 

This is a newly created role in Pet Blood Bank UK; our ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a meticulous approach to ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. You will demonstrate proficiency in investigative techniques and be capable of providing thorough documentation and data analysis.

We’re looking for someone who is/has:

  • Proficient in root cause analysis techniques, with a demonstrated ability to identify and address underlying issues effectively.
  • Possess relevant qualifications and experience in quality processes and systems, ensuring comprehensive understanding and application of industry standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly adept at remote communication methods, facilitating seamless collaboration and information exchange across distributed teams.
  • Demonstrates a professional manner in all interactions and fosters positive relationships.
  • Proven track record of effectively navigating remote work environments, utilising communication tools and platforms to maintain productive engagement and teamwork.

Further details 

This role is part time, hybrid working 25 hours per week, Mon – Fri.  We anticipate the role holder will work 3 days from home and 2 days from our Loughborough site. There will be occasional site visits and therefore a driving licence is essential. Some flexibility is required as some of our teams work at weekends and as such, there may be a requirement where phone/virtual meetings take place at night/weekends to support and conclude investigations and compliance reviews.
